It was a great day at Wassamki Springs in Scarborough on the 17th of May as the rain stopped and the Goldens were resplendent in the sunshine. Thanks to Mary Davis, Match Chair, and all the volunteers who made the event a great success. The prize baskets were phenomenal and will send a message far and wide that MGRC “does great baskets”! Entrants came from Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Before the commencement of the match, MGRC President Charlie Cragin presented the “highly coveted” MGRC “Head & Tail” coins to Pollie and Carroll Goodwin of Alfred, Maine. Pollie is Match Chair of the Southern Maine Coastal Classic and Carroll is President of Vacationland. Charlie told our members at the event that Pollie and Carroll “have been mentors and supporters of MGRC and have gone out of their ways to help MGRC become the successful organization it has grown to be.” Thanks to Pollie and Carroll Goodwin for all of their help and encouragement.
