July 31st, Bark in the Park, Hadlock Field

MGRC’s Goldens were on full display to Portland Sea Dog fans and the Maine media on Friday, July 31^st.  An impressive delegation of Goldens assembled at Portland’s Hadlock Field for “Bark in the Park”, a fund raising effort hosted by Planet Dog for the benefit of the Maine non-profit “Embrace a Vet” (EAV) and its Paws for Peace program.   Paws for Peace was initiated after recognizing the lack of opportunity for veterans in Maine living with PTS or TBI to obtain service dogs.  EAV offers assistance with locating dogs and providing various levels of training depending upon the needs of the veteran.  MGRC is pleased to support this great organization and had great fun following Sea Dogs mascot “Slugger the Sea Dog” around the outfield track.  Thanks also to Planet Dog for its generous support of Embrace a Vet!  http://embraceavet.org
