Lynn Booth

I’ve had dogs all my life and several different breeds: beagles, shelties, labs, mixed, and the very best - GOLDENS. 46 years ago, my husband, Kim, and I entered the world of obedience training with our shelties in Cleveland, Ohio. We travelled around the midwest area, showing our dogs and got titles on all three ranging from CDs to UDs and even a high in trial on one. When we moved to Maine in 1990, we immediately got a golden named Hudson, and he was loved dearly by our three children. Then, Colby, our lab joined our family a few years later. We have had numerous other animals as well: cats, a ferret, hamsters, bunnies, and gerbils. Lauren definitely got the love of animals from all of these creatures and actually was responsible for many of them coming into our home. We have three adult children and their wonderful spouses that have given us five grandchildren who we adore and spend a good deal of time with. Over five years ago, we got our golden, Cali, and began more obedience training again. She has learned scent work and entered into trials in that area and really likes that. Every dog has to find the area that they are most comfortable in and love to do. Our two year old, Kenzie, loves the fast pace of dock diving, Fast Cat and lure coursing, agility, and works in obedience as well. Finally, I have thoroughly enjoyed being a certified therapy dog trainer and I take Fergus (my son and daughter in law’s golden) to Oceanview, the library and middle school in town. He provides such love and comfort to many.
