Sandy Cloutier

I moved to Maine in 1976 where I finished high school and vocational school then pursued a
field in technology. While working in this field, I landed at a credit union in Portland in 1986 in
computer and security which has been my place of employment ever since. Being there 36
years, I have worked myself through each area of the credit union and up the management
ladder to my role as Chief Operations Officer.
I owned a dog as a young child that I lost while in high school. In 1987 I purchased my first
golden retriever, Tasha. We quickly got into dog training and showing. My experience includes,
Obedience, Rally, Confirmation, and Therapy work. My Tasha earned a Dog World award in
obedience in the mid 90’s qualifying for the AKC Eastern Regional Obedience Trials. She was a
wonderful companion to me, my husband, my step children, and my mother which made me
fall in love with the breed. Since then, I have been blessed to own 10 Golden Retrievers giving
me much pleasure and accomplishments in the confirmation, therapy, and obedience sports.
I currently own 3 Goldens, and excited to continue to learn and grow with the breed and
participate in the many activities available.
